The Seoul Music Awards, now celebrating its 33rd anniversary, has been reimagined as a monthly awards ceremony with a strong emphasis on fan engagement. Global top group BTS has taken the lead in the voting process for the new awards categories, reflecting their unwavering popularity.

The organizing committee of the Seoul Music Awards has partnered with global fandom platforms such as Fancast, Idol Champ, and Grape to provide fans with the opportunity to vote for their favorite artists in two new categories: 'World Trend Artist' and 'Fan Choice of the Year'. The winners in these categories will be determined solely by fan voting.

As of 4:00 pm on April 10th, BTS maintains a firm hold on first place in the 'World Trend Artist' category across two of the fandom platforms. In the meantime, Seventeen has overtaken TOMORROW X TOGETHER, who previously held the top spot, followed closely by TWICE and ATEEZ.

The 'Fan's Choice of the Year' category has seen some exciting changes, with BTS's V retaking the lead on all fandom platforms. Kim Ho-joong, who previously held first place on one platform, now faces fierce competition from BTS's Jimin and TOMORROW X TOGETHER's Yeonjun.

With only a week left for fans to vote, all eyes are on BTS to see if they can maintain their impressive performance and secure the April 'Artist of the Month' title. In addition to receiving the prestigious trophy, the winners will also be rewarded with high-profile advertisements to further showcase their achievements.

The revamped Seoul Music Awards aims to bring fans and artists closer together, and the response from the global K-pop community thus far has been overwhelmingly positive.
