K-pop sensation Black Pink has once again proven their immense popularity with a stunning performance at the Tokyo Dome in Japan. The girl group's agency, YG Entertainment, announced that 110,000 fans flocked to the two-day event, part of their 'BORN PINK Japan' world tour, held on April 8th and 9th.

BLACKPINK Japan Tokyo Dome Concert

This marks BLACKPINK's first concert in Tokyo in over three years, since their 2019 world tour 'IN YOUR AREA'. The latest performance was planned to be more than double the size of their previous Tokyo concert, garnering significant attention from local media and fans. Although the group had previously performed at the Tokyo Dome, it was only for a single day.

YG Entertainment stated that the concert's tickets sold out at a record-breaking pace, with even the limited-view seats being snapped up shortly after they were made available. In addition, a pop-up store in Tokyo's Shibuya district was inundated with visitors.

During the concert, BLACKPINK showcased their hit songs, including the chart-topping 'Shut Down' from their second album 'Born Pink', 'Kill This Love', 'DDU-DU DDU-DU', and 'Lovesick Girls'. The members also displayed their individual talents with solo performances, such as Jisoo's debut live performance of her first solo single "FLOWER" from her album "ME".

BLACKPINK Japan Tokyo Dome Concert

BLACKPINK is currently embarking on the largest world tour ever undertaken by a K-pop girl group, attracting an estimated 1.5 million attendees. Last year, they successfully completed 14 North American shows across seven cities and ten European performances in seven cities. The group is now meeting their Asian fandom, 'Blink', with further concerts scheduled.

Japanese fans can look forward to another opportunity to see BLACKPINK live at the Kyocera Dome Osaka on June 3-4, although tickets are already sold out. Those unable to attend can catch the performance through a live broadcast on U-NEXT, Japan's largest OTT platform.
