- Taeyang's Upcoming Solo Album to Feature Blackpink's Lisa 목차
The Black Label announced on Wednesday that Blackpink's Lisa will be joining forces with former YG Entertainment artist, Taeyang, for his highly anticipated solo album. The collaboration will feature Lisa on one of the tracks, as well as making an appearance in the music video. The album is set to be released later this month.
According to local media reports, the collaboration marks a unique partnership between Taeyang, who recently signed with The Black Label in December 2022 after a 16-year tenure at YG Entertainment, and Lisa, who is still currently under the YG Entertainment umbrella.
Taeyang, who made his debut as a member of the boy band Big Bang in 2006, is no stranger to success in the world of K-pop. His first solo album, released in 2008, paved the way for a prosperous solo career. The lead track from his 2014 album, "Eyes, Nose, Lips," dominated music charts for weeks and secured the No. 3 spot on Melon's yearly music charts that year. Taeyang's most recent full-length album, "White Night," was released in 2018.
The upcoming album follows the release of his digital single "Vibe," which came out on January 13 and featured Jimin from the boy band BTS.
The Black Label, a former subsidiary label of YG Entertainment, was founded in 2016 by Korean-American rapper and producer Teddy. Known for setting the musical direction for YG Entertainment, Teddy and The Black Label became independent in 2020 after YG Entertainment sold its shares.
