- Busan Cinema Center Celebrates 'Day of the Disabled' with Special Backstage Tour 목차
In celebration of the 'Day of the Disabled' on April 20, the Busan Cinema Center (CEO Kim Jin-hae) organized a special backstage tour event for developmentally disabled adults at the Sky Yeon Theater. The event, held on April 19, was attended by 20 participants, including college students from the Lifelong Education Center of Pusan National University.
The Busan Cinema Center's backstage tour program, introduced in 2019, provides visitors with an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at the 841-seat Haneul Yeon Theater. During the event, 15 college students and 8 assistant instructors were guided through the theater's sound equipment, lighting room, and piano room. The tour featured engaging commentary from Lighting Director Jang Hoon-seok of the Theater Arts Team at the Busan Cinema Center.
In an effort to increase awareness and inclusivity for disabled individuals in the workplace, the Busan Cinema Center will hold a concert on May 11 featuring an orchestra for the visually impaired. The concert will take place at the Haneulyeon Theater and will be attended by representatives from 15 related institutions in Busan. This initiative is part of the center's ongoing commitment to providing cultural experiences and educational opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
