An official from MYM Entertainment, the actor's agency, confirmed the news to Spotify News on May 3rd, stating, "It is one of the works that have been proposed."
'The Omniscient Reader's Point of View', often referred to as 'Poetry of Reading', is a mega-hit web novel that began serialization on Munpia in 2018. The story revolves around Kim Dok-ja, who is the sole individual to know the ending of a novel set in a destroyed world. The original web novel has garnered over 200 million cumulative views and has become one of the most popular web novels yet to be adapted for the screen.
Realize Pictures, the production company behind the successful 'Along with the Gods' film series, is set to produce 'Poetry of Reading'. Director Kim Byung-woo, known for his work on 'The Terror Live', will take the helm for the highly anticipated movie adaptation.
The story features several roles, with Kim Dok-ja and Yoo Jung-hyeok being the most prominent characters. Ahn Hyo-seop has been offered the role of Kim Dok-ja and is currently considering the part. Yoo Jung-hyeok, the character Lee Min-ho is being considered for, is depicted as a handsome man who far surpasses Kim Dok-ja, fitting the hero of the original work.
