- Red Velvet Delivers Unforgettable Performances at 'R to V' Concert in Seoul 목차
SEOUL, South Korea - South Korean girl group Red Velvet returned to the stage with a powerful performance at their fourth solo concert, 'R to V,' held at KSPO Dome, Olympic Park, in Seoul. The two-day event marked the group's first solo concert in over three years, and the final day of performances was broadcast live online through the global platform 'Beyond Live.'
Red Velvet, comprising Wendy, Irene, Seulgi, Joy, and Yeri, opened the concert with a trio of songs, performing "Pose," "Beg For Me," and "ZOOM" in succession. The group then paused to acknowledge the overwhelming support from their fans, with Joy giving a thumbs-up and saying, "Cheers penetrate through the in-ear. That's great."
The concert's title, 'R to V,' reflects Red Velvet's unique team identity, which combines their vibrant 'Red' concept with the sultry 'Velvet' concept. Joy explained, "It means from 'red' to 'velvet.' We prepared a title like this to show both concepts properly."
The group surprised fans by preparing different opening songs for each day of the two-day event. Seulgi said, "Have you ever imagined something like this? They said that both days had to come, so some people thought that one day was 'red' and the other day was 'velvet.' We have to show everything."
'Red Velvet's 'R to V' concert took place three years and five months after their 'La Rouge' concert in November 2019. Irene enthusiastically stated, "There are a lot of songs we have accumulated over the years. We will show them all."
Following the Seoul performances, Red Velvet will embark on a global tour, performing in 10 cities across the world, including Singapore, Yokohama, Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, and London. In June, they will be the only K-pop group to perform at the world's largest music festival, 'Primavera Sound 2023,' held in Spain.
