- Debut Film 'Heavy Snow' Featuring Han So-hee to Premiere at 24th Jeonju International Film Festival 목차
South Korean actress Han So-hee's debut film "Heavy Snow" is set to be screened at the 24th Jeonju International Film Festival. Directed by Yun Seok-jak, the movie has been nominated for the Korean Competition section, and it will showcase Han So-hee's talent from her early acting days.
"Heavy Snow" is inspired by Director Yoon's experience of surfing in the winter sea landscape. The film features a dreamy and unique cinematic atmosphere created by the harmonious melodrama of two distinct female characters set against a backdrop of wild mountains, winter sea, and heavy snowfall.
The film challenges conventional aesthetics with its bold and beautiful visuals, blurring the lines between fantasy and reality. Director Yoon explained, "I focused on the direction and worked to create a unique cinematic atmosphere by utilizing the characteristics of a story where the boundary between fantasy and reality is ambiguous."
The story revolves around the friendship, love, and struggles of two girls, Su-an (played by Han Hae-in) and Seol-i (played by Han So-hee), from Gangneung Arts High School, who are passionate about acting and film. "Heavy Snow" is scheduled for screenings on April 29th at 1:00 pm at Megabox Jeonju Guest House 3 and 8, on May 1st at 10:00 am at Megabox Jeonju Gaeksa 3, and on May 5th at 1:00 pm at CGV Jeongosa Hall 7.
This marks a significant moment for Han So-hee, as audiences will get a glimpse of her acting prowess from her rookie days. The film is expected to attract significant attention from both critics and viewers at the prestigious Jeonju International Film Festival.
