In response to numerous requests from latecomers, SBS's 'Universe Ticket' has announced an extension of the application period for their global girl group audition. Originally scheduled to conclude on April 30th, the new deadline for applications is now set for May 14th. This move comes as a result of the overwhelming interest in the audition from applicants all around the world.
According to the production team, the 'Universe Ticket' audition program has garnered attention and support from over 103 countries, including the United States, China, and Japan. Not only have trainees from renowned Korean entertainment companies applied, but experienced girl group members who have previously debuted are also vying for a spot.
Producer Lee Hwan-jin, who is directing the show, expressed gratitude and responsibility in light of the strong interest from talented applicants. "I will do my best so that my dreams can shine in the new universe," Lee said.
'Universe Ticket' is SBS's first-ever global girl group audition program. The final eight members selected for the group will be signed to F&F Entertainment and remain active for two years and six months. Girls aged 13 or older, born before 2011, are eligible to apply, regardless of nationality.
