- Samsung's Exynos Processor to Possibly Reappear in Galaxy S24 Lineup 목차
Samsung Electronics is reportedly planning to bring back its in-house mobile semiconductor, the Exynos, for the Galaxy S24 series, set to launch early next year. The company made the announcement during a conference call on the 27th, discussing its first quarter results and ambitions to re-enter the flagship smartphone market.
Hyuk-Man Kwon, Managing Director of System LSI, confirmed that the Mobile Experience (MX) Division is working towards developing a product line suitable for all segments of the Galaxy series. However, he also acknowledged that the mobile market's slowing growth calls for necessary preparations.
Despite the MX Division not yet confirming the Galaxy S24 Exynos integration, industry experts consider it a possibility. This comes after the Galaxy S23, released in February, was fully equipped with Qualcomm's 2nd generation Snapdragon 8, leading some to speculate that the Exynos might be discontinued.
Choi Won-joon, head of the Development Office (Vice President) of the MX Division, addressed these concerns at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Barcelona, Spain, in February. He emphasized the need for Samsung to use Exynos instead of Qualcomm's Snapdragon, stating that the company would explore various chipset options to provide the best possible experience for consumers.
Samsung's decision to reintroduce the Exynos chip in its upcoming Galaxy S24 series highlights the company's dedication to delivering top-quality, in-house technology and an enhanced user experience.
