SM Entertainment (SM) has announced its acquisition of a 51% stake in the post-production company, STUDIO CLON, as a new subsidiary through its metaverse content production firm, STUDIO KWANGYA. The acquisition is part of SM's broader investment strategy, known as 'SM 3.0,' which aims to reinforce the company's metaverse and content competency.

Established in 2011, STUDIO CLON is a leading company in the post-production industry, providing comprehensive services such as video content editing, mixing, DI (Digital Intermediate), and OAP (On Air Production). The company has worked on over 2300 pieces of content to date. STUDIO KWANGYA, founded in July 2022, specializes in various areas, including visual special effects (VFX) production, virtual humans, post-production, and virtual reality production. In collaboration with Amaze VR, STUDIO KWANGYA has also established a joint venture studio A, which focuses on immersive VR concerts.

 

 

 

SM Entertainment Artists Set to Join Weverse Platform
